On June 22/24 the club will once again be having a social weekend in Aberdaron, on the llyn peninsula. it includes two runs of about 5-6 miles – one on Saturday and one on Sunday – along the scenic coastal path, and a meal at the ship hotel on Saturday night. Weather permitting, we sometimes feel brave enough for a dip in the sea after the Sunday run.
Most who attend either camp or stay in caravans or campervans on the Dwyros site, which is within walking distance of the village.
Some members who cannot stay overnight travel down early on Saturday (about a 2-hour journey) for the single run and then stay for the meal before coming home.
It’s a really enjoyable social weekend and we would like more members and their families to join us.
It’s up to members to make their own accommodation arrangements but anyone wishing to have dinner on Saturday night is asked to notify Gareth Hughes (01745 888078) so that we can give the hotel some idea of numbers (and choose from the menu in advance).
