A teenager who not only enjoys her athletics but helps others to do so has been rewarded for her efforts.
Isabelle Reay was presented with the Daphne Chaloner Award for Endeavour, awarded each year to the member of Prestatyn Running Club’s junior section for effort and contribution to the club.
The shield was donated by Raymond Chaloner in memory of his wife Daphne who died two years ago and was a former coach with the club.
Medals were also presented to Maddi Devlin and Harrison Wells-O’Reilly for their enthusiastic involvement in the club’s weekly sessions.
On December 26 the club will be holding a social run, starting from the car-park to the west of the Nova at 11am, and followed by a dip in the sea, after which members will go to the Miners’ Arms, Meliden.
