Prestatyn Running Club’s Amie Bagnall made a happy return to her old stomping ground at the weekend when she was first lady home in the Parkrun at Burnage.

The Stockport run was her local event while in University but she has continued her impressive improvement since graduating. She finished seventh overall in 20.02.

Supervet Roger Harrison-Jones was the club’s first finisher in the Conwy Parkrun, coming 84th in 27.41, and he was followed by Suzanne Evans (141st in 34.19), Alex White (143rd in 35.03) and Julie Evans (147th In 36.03).

On January 6th the club will once again be hosting the North Wales Cross-Country Championships at Rhug, Corwen, and chief marshal Duncan Longley is appealing for volunteers. Those wishing to run should get their entries in as none will be accepted on the day.

On January 8th the club will launch another beginners’ programme involving 10 weekly sessions. The fee of £10 will include a high-vis vest.
