Prestatyn RC stepped up in style to Division One of the Border League on Sunday in Caernarfon on the undulating 10k course with a club record number of 42 runners in a field of over 300, firming a strong start to the 7 race regional competition.

The Borders Road-Running League closed on a mixed note for Prestatyn Running Club, with seven members picking up individual awards but the ladies being relegated to Division 2.
One of the big positives to come out of the seven-race series was the performances of teenagers Alex Ryder and Coral McShane, both of whom finished third overall in their under-20 classes.

On Sunday 23 members braved the wind and rain for the sixth and penultimate fixture of the Borders Road-Running League alongside the Straits at Caernarfon and the ladies put up a particularly good showing, with Abbie Cheetham back to strengthen the side.

Borders League - Mold 2015

Conditions for the fifth fixture of the Borders League at Mold on Sunday were in stark contrast to those two weeks earlier when Prestatyn Running Club hosted the event.
This time 14 of the club’s men and seven women turned out, with Sian Beck making a comeback after injury and Rebecca Roberts having rejoined the club.

There was cause for great celebrations on Sunday when Prestatyn Running Club hosted the fourth of this season’s fixtures in the Borders Road-Running League .
For not only did the club claim the winner of the race in Dean Longley but there was also a record turnout of 18 men and 17 women, including debutants Jo Edwards, Matty Smith and Hadyn Johnson, in addition to about 20 marshals.
