Borders League - Wrexham 2015

Published In Borders League

The Borders Road-Running League closed on a mixed note for Prestatyn Running Club, with seven members picking up individual awards but the ladies being relegated to Division 2.

One of the big positives to come out of the seven-race series was the performances of teenagers Alex Ryder and Coral McShane, both of whom finished third overall in their under-20 classes.

Dean Longley took things easy in the final race at Wrexham, coming home 20th but that was enough to give him not only second place in the senior men’s category but also second overall, a fine performance.

Other award winners were George Nicholls (5th M40), George Nixon (2nd M60), Victoria Whitehead (3rd L40), Debbie Richards (1st L55) and Gabby Waring (2nd L55).

The men’s team finished fourth in Division 2 on the night and finished third overall.
