Two of Prestatyn Running Club’s in-form senior men mixed it with the cream of Britain’s runners on Saturday at the British inter-counties’ cross-country championships in Loughborough.
On a tough 11k course Steve Skates finished a highly creditable 115th and Andrew Bromley gave his usual 100%, coming 270th, which was a reflection of the quality of the competition. Both were members of the North Wales squad.
James Rogers, a recent recruit, and Gareth Roberts, were the club’s representatives in the Wrexham marathon, finishing in 3-45 and 3-57 respectively.
At the same venue Hadyn Johnson did the 20-mile race, coming home 222nd in 3-37, and Sian Culshaw did the half-marathon, finishing 277th overall in 2-03.53.
