From Benidorm to Bodelwyddan – that has been the experience for a couple of Prestatyn Running Club members over the past 10 days.
Four of the ladies enjoyed the relative warmth of the Spanish resort for a weekend away which included the local 10k race.
Helen Baxandall, who has been in good form recently, was delighted with her time of 56.30 – it would have been even faster had there been chip timing – and she was followed by Karen Bancroft in 8.10, Julie Evans and Suzanne Evans (both 74.13).
Helen and Julie were then among 17 members who turned out in the Bodelwyddan Castle Parkrun on Saturday, which was won in comfortable style by Steve Skates.

Meanwhile recent recruit Mike Pearson completed his 100th Parkrun in Heslington, near York, where he was 89th in 23.50.
This Saturday the club will have several members in the North Wales squad at the Welsh inter-regional cross-country championships in Llandrindod Wells, though some of those selected have decided to concentrate instead on Sunday’s Borders League fixture on the Mona racetrack in Anglesey.
