Week 10 ..the last week done…. congratulations to everyone who made it through the 10 weeks and completed the 30min runs last week. Well done to everyone who took part in this years beginners, however far you made it… I hope it has helped you enjoy your running.
Plans for the Park Run this weekend were impacted by the weather but we had three hardy souls who turned up to swim/run the course.
Congratulations to Linda and Ceri Friar who completed their first park run… and I think were still smiling at the end :-) Also well done to Sally Rowe who once again toughed it out in extremely difficult conditions to run part of the course.
Given the conditions perhaps others might have another attempt this weekend. So if you are interested then go along and although this is not a ‘official’ get together I’m sure you will see some friendly faces. We may look to have a more formal beginners reunion Park Run when the weather improves so we can finish things off in style… we will keep you posted.
Thank you to all the club members who came along and helped out at Park Run… I hope you have dried out.
So whats next….
If you have now joined the club… thank you and welcome… we look forward to seeing you at club runs over coming weeks. Remember the Monday runs are from the Ffrith and Wednesday club runs are from Prestatyn Leisure Centre. You will see all the familiar faces who have been running with you over the last 10 weeks and if you have any question about who to run with or any concerns then just ask. The Monday night is a more general run and the Wednesday run is a more structured session over the winter and then over the summer we tend to try and find some more interesting routes. Take things easy over the first few weeks as you start to focus on running a little further and make sure you tell us if you have any questions… we want to make sure you continue to enjoy your running.
If you are interested in joining the club but still not sure then your are more than welcome to come along for a few nights whenever you are ready to see how you get on.
If you have completed the 10 weeks and want to go on to other things.. thank you for being part of the team this year and I hope you continue with your running in one form or another. We would love to see you back at some point in the future.
