Though Prestatyn Running Club had a lower turnout than usual at the North Wales cross-country championships at Northop on Saturday six members came away with individual medals.
Results:- Boys under 11: 6 Oliver Birch 12.01. Girls under 13: 21 Eden Jones 19.05.
Ladies under 17: 6 Eve Scott 21.08. Ladies: 3 Amie Bagnall 23.08 (1st SL), 24 Sian Beck 27.11 (3rd L40), 28 Lis a Johnson 27.51, 46 Amy Williamson 30.31, 52 Helen Alefounder 33.16, 56 Julia Evans 34.33.

Eleven members of the club doubled up on New Year’s Day by taking part in the Chester Parkrun and then travelling to Connah’s Quay for the Wepre run.
Club captain James Rogers outdid even that by running from one to the other.

Steve Forsyth followed up his victory in the previous week’s Wolverhampton Parkrun, where he set a new pb of 16.21, by winning Saturday’s Nova run.

This weekend will test the stamina and dedication of members, as Saturday’s fourth fixture of the Grand Prix Express North Wales Cross-Country League in Shrewsbury is followed on Sunday by the fourth race in the Borders Road-Running League at Abergele.
