The popular Saturday morning Parkruns are expected to resume in Wales over the next few weeks but in the meantime several North Wales runners have been warming up over the border.
Prestatyn Running Club’s Sian Beck and Bill Scriven joined a large field for the Chester run, but the narrow course meant that having a clear run was difficult.
Sian finished 70th overall in 23.45, just two seconds behind her teenage son Iestyn, and Bill was 210th in 29.33.
Four members ventured further into Cheshire for the Crewe Parkrun, with Steve Weedman leading the quartet. Results: 27 Steve Weedman 22.52, 50 Andy Clark 24.49, 60 Kath Prestwich 27.08, 159 Debbie Weedman 31.12.
Five members joined the Chester Virtual 10k, with times recorded over the past couple of months. Their placings were: 30 Andy Clark 48.41, 110 Ally Reid 56.14, 201 Stuart Quayle 63.08,415 Karen Roberts 87.49, 419 Julie Evans 89.37.
