In the Halloween 10k in Colwyn Bay it was Prestatyn Running Club’s in-form veteran Steve Forsyth who spooked his fellow competitors with a brilliant run.

He clocked a superb 34 minutes exactly to win the race, and clubmate Andrew Bromley was not far behind, finishing third in 35.41.

There were also highly promising performances from Will Williams (13th in 40.49) and Craig Smith (15th in 41.53).

In the same event Julie Evans finished 3rd L60 in 79.16 for 107th place, just getting the better of Suzanne Evans, who was one place behind in 80.01.

Supervet Martin Cortvriend, on his travels again, continued his outstanding form, coming 8th in the Troon Parkrun in 21.04.

Twenty-four hours later he came 8th again, this time in the Pendle Witches 10k in Lancaster, and was not only first M65 but actually first over 60.

Other Parkrun results were:- Nova: 10 Darren Thompson 21.49, 39 Jo Lewis 25.58, 42 David Roberts 26.53 (pb), 44 Julia Evans 27.26, 57 Debbie Weedman 30.38. Greenfield: 16 Sophie Johnson 27.28, 31 Mandy Cartwright 30.22. Conwy: 153 Roger Harrison-Jones 31.38. Wepre: 31 Steve Brown 26.45.
