New Venue For Taste Academy 5K

A race which has been held by Prestatyn Running Club for over 10 years is to move to a new venue and day.
Last year the Sun Centre 5k became the Taste Academy 5k following the closure of the leisure complex and in 2016 the event will be in Prestatyn.

Upcoming Club Runs For the Diary

On Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, we shall be holding a club run on the Farm Ride around Mostyn Hall, with a view to possibly holding a trail race on the course sometime. It’s a 9k run on fields, farm tracks etc.
September 23rd, the club will be meeting at Marine Lake, Rhyl, at 6.30

Trainer & T-Shirt Donations

Just following up my earlier appeal for any trainers which you are no longer wearing but are not in too dreadful a state.
As I mentioned, there’s a chap in Rhuddlan who sends all kinds of sports kit etc to Gambia where they don’t have anything and appreciate all donations.

Congratulations to our super-vet Dafydd Owen who claimed a “first” in the 32-year history of the club when he came second in a competition in mid-Wales.

BMAF Cross Country

Having seen the BMAF Cross-country championships which we hosted in Ruthin March a few members have shown an interest in going to next year’s championships being held in Bath. Our men and women have proved in the past that there are medals to be won.
